Carrollton Rainbow Adopts a Carrollton GreenBelt Trail with Keep Carroll Beautiful!

April 25, 2024 - Today, Carrollton Rainbow's application to Adopt the Kingsbridge Trail of the Carrollton Greenbelt was approved by Keep Carroll Beautiful!

In August 2016, Friends of Carrollton GreenBelt partnered with Keep Carroll Beautiful to promote the Adopt-A-Trail volunteer program.

The Adopt-A-Trail initiative is an excellent way for individuals, families, and organizations to get involved with the Carrollton GreenBelt by supplementing the maintenance efforts of the City of Carrollton Parks Department. Carrollton community is invited to take responsibility for the trail by performing simple tasks, including picking up litter, reporting repair needs, and cleaning trail signage.

Carrollton Rainbow is committing to a once per month cleanup of our designated space, so be on the lookout for cleanup meetups soon!

About the Carrollton Greenbelt:

Carrollton GreenBelt is the largest green-space and green-way conservation project that the City of Carrollton has undertaken. With more than 18 miles of concrete path, the GreenBelt claims the title of the longest, paved loop trail in Georgia!

True Multi-Use: The shared-use path was designed for pedestrians, bikers, and other non-motorized users and to connect neighborhoods with the Carrollton City School campus, University of West Georgia, city parks, and several commercial and shopping areas.

Connections: GreenBelt serves the community in several capacities. Primarily, it serves as a recreational opportunity. Given the planned, strategic location of the trail, the community can also utilize the trail as an alternative to vehicular travel.

Green Space: The Carrollton GreenBelt is a linear city park! The trail connects several active and passive recreational areas that include ball fields, gyms, a pool, and new mountain bike trails.
