Parent & Ally Support
Parents, family and friends can have a big impact, especially in the lives of LGBTQ youth. Sometimes, these people are the ones who help us get the support we need – other times, it’s us who connect them with life-affirming resources.
PFLAG is the nation’s first and largest non-profit organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQIA+ people and their families.
The support group meetings (for adults 18+) will be led by a PFLAG trained facilitator and held on the second Thursday of every month in the Fellowship Hall at Grace Lutheran Church (101 Somerset Place Carrollton, GA 30116).
Grace Lutheran Church is LGBTQ+ affirming, and its pastor is a member of the LGBTQ+ community. PFLAG is not affiliated with any religious organization or faith community, but we are very grateful to the members of Grace Lutheran for allowing us to use their facility.
Free Mom Hugs is a registered non-profit organization made up of parents and allies who love the LGBTQIA+ community unconditionally and are working toward full affirmation and equality for all.
The Facebook Group is a great resource for networking, asking questions and finding others in the community who are also navigating how to be a supportive, loving and affirming family member, friend or ally.
