Carrollton Pride Festival 2024

Saturday, September 28 | 11 AM - 4 PM

University of West Georgia | Carrollton, GA

A Festival for ALL in the Community to celebrate PRIDE!

Carrollton Rainbow will be hosting our 3rd annual Carrollton Pride Festival this year! Last year's event was packed with talented artists showcasing their work, food trucks providing a variety of things to eat - and a community market featuring 70+ local merchandise vendors, advocacy groups & health and wellness partners of the LGBTQ+ community with over 1200 attendees! We're looking to make things bigger and better for 2024!

Our event is Free and open to ALL!  We aim to uplift members of the LGBTQ+ community and their families, friends, and allies, while also bringing new businesses, professionals, individuals, charities, religious spaces, and public organizations to our table.

A Lasting Impact for the West Georgia Community

Community Partnerships &
Access to Resources

In rural west Georgia, access to resources are limited for the queer community.  Having regional and national LGBTQIA+ resources in a room side-by-side with affirming local churches, healthcare providers who respect their patients’ identities, and the area’s largest employers who value diversity & inclusion, we can be a conduit for the LGBTQIA+ and the community at large and empower everyone to be their authentic selves and live their lives to the fullest.

Celebration & Representation
of the Queer Community

We aim to raise awareness and promote understanding of LGBTQIA+ issues and believe that it is essential to celebrate the diversity and resilience of our community.  We seek to foster a sense of belonging and connection within our community, providing a safe and supportive space for individuals to express themselves and connect with others who share their experiences.

Awareness & Advocacy for LGBTQIA+ Equality

Carrollton Rainbow advocates for policies and laws that promote equality and protect the rights of LGBTQIA+ individuals. The Carrollton Pride Festival is an opportunity for members of the LGBTQIA+ community to break bread and build bridges with local employers, professionals, individuals, charities, religious spaces, community leaders & community members. These good-faith conversations, happing without fear of judgment or condemnation, can combat and repair bigotry.

Local Economic Impact

Last year, the Carrollton Pride Festival attracted at least 1200 attendees from at least nine surrounding counties as captured by our data - bringing thousands of shopping and dining dollars from outside the community to our 40+ festival retail vendors and to the greater dining, entertainment & retail businesses in our local economy.   This year we expect to increase attendance by at least 25% as we will capture new demographics that was underrepresented at our 2023 event.
