Meet Jenny H!

Hey y’all!! I’m Jenny. I am your Director of Community Relationships here at Carrollton Rainbow. I’m a mama, daughter + wife, and I live here in Carrollton. I have three children- a daughter, Irina(20) autistic/queer/trans and two sons, Quinn(18) ally + general smart ass and Brannon(13) autistic/SPD, also an ally AND general smartass, but he’s feral so may the odds be ever in your favor. My daddy lives with us now and I joke he’s my 4th child. He’s in his terrible 70’s at the moment but what can you do?!

I’m also Queer, which I discovered in college. How shocking, right?! My fave uncles were gay so I grew up knowing love was love but it took me a minute to really be able to admit my queerness to myself, let alone publicly. When I met my husband I knew he was my person regardless. And we’ve been together for 21 years.

My sweet mama and I volunteered for AIDS Walk/AID Atlanta for years until she moved to Nevada. She has since passed away or she would be hot and heavy in the midst of anything related to Carrollton Rainbow. Trust. She is absolutely where a large portion of my personality comes from. The rest is just pure me. I’m a lot and I admit it freely. But I love hard and I’m fierce in my fierceness. No one will fight harder for your safety and right to love who you love, or just simply exist as the best version of yourself.

If you see me out and about, come up and say hey!!
